Three U23 players invited to the first team training camp

MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Friday that defender Amine Meftouh (pictured left), midfielder Jérémy Gagnon-Laparé (center) and forward Victor Ndiaye (right) from the Impact U23 side will all take part in the first team’s training camp, starting this Monday at the Marie-Victorin Sports complex.

Amine Meftouh, Defender

Meftouh, 22, has been a member of the Impact Academy since 2010. He played nine games, including seven starts, for a total of 696 minutes in the MLS Reserve League in 2013. He also represented Canada at the U17 CONCACAF Championships in Mexico in 2009 and trained with the U20 national team.


Jérémy Gagnon-Laparé, Midfielder

Jérémy Gagnon-Laparé, 18, played four games in the MLS Reserve League with the Impact in 2013, all as a starter, totaling 294 minutes. He also took part in the recent Canadian Men’s national team camp in Florida, after making his official debut for his country at the senior level last September. He was also part of the Canadian national U20 and U18 teams.


Victor Ndiaye, Forward

Ndiaye, 21, scored one goal in six MLS Reserve League matches, including three starts, for 369 minutes in 2013. He managed five goals in 21 games played with the U21 side in the Canadian Soccer League in 2012.


In 2013, four players from the Impact Academy joined the first team: goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau, defenders Maxim Tissot and Wandrille Lefèvre, as well as midfielder Zakaria Messoudi. All four signed their first professional contracts with the Impact after taking part in training camp last year.
