Three away wins in the Development Academy

Rapport USSDA

The Academy teams were in Henrietta, New York, last Saturday, to play against Empire United. Montreal can say mission accomplished after winning all three games, including two clean sheets. The Impact U15 won 2-1, the Impact U17 won 5-0 and the Impact U19 won 2-0.

Impact U15 comes back from behind

The Impact conceded a goal in the first seconds of the match, when Empire United scored after sending a ball deep in Montreal’s half. The score remained 1-0 until halftime. In the second half, the Impact brought it level with a goal from Maël Henry. Montreal added a second goal, this time from Gabriel Antinoro, to get the 2-1 win.

Dominique Morin’s team remains unbeaten this season with a 14-0-2 record, maintaining first place in the Northeast division and its playoff spot.

Impact U17 dominate

The Impact U17 never looked back after taking the lead in the first half. Matthew Catavolo and Abdul Binate scored twice before halftime. Their teammates Rida Zouhir and Sean Rea scored the other two goals in the second half.

The U17 team will fly to Texas for the GA Cup with a 12-5-2 regular season record, still first in the Northeast division.

Second win in a row for the U19 team

The Impact U19 came up with a 2-0 win at the right time, as Philippe Eullaffroy’s team is trying to secure its playoff spot.

Calin Calaidjoglu and Mujtaba Mirhasan scored in the win.

With its 9-5-2 record, Montreal is third in the Northeast division, behind the New England Revolution and New York City FC.
