As part of the Club’s 30th anniversary, one of the Soccer Culture initiatives we have been looking into is the creation of a captain’s armband unique to CF Montréal.
For this project, we worked on the design of the armband with a Montreal artist who had already created a few illustrations featuring our players this season.

The result of our collaboration is an armband featuring symbols of the Club, its past and the city of Montreal. You’ll recognize our current logo, as well as sketches of the North Star (the bell) and the Voyageurs Cup.
The colours were chosen primarily to contrast with those of our jerseys, but also because they are part of our history: blue, which was present from the start, and pink, which was the colour of our 3rd jersey in the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
Our captain will wear the 30th anniversary armband for the Saturday September 2nd game against Columbus Crew. Our Academy teams will also have the honour of wearing it in their respective games.
