Last week, the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence announced the 51 recipients of the 18th edition of the Saputo Bursary Program, in which 10 players from the Impact Academy were selected.

“We are really happy to see so many of our young players rewarded for their efforts,” said Montreal Impact Academy director, Philippe Eullaffroy. “It shows how seriously they take their studies and their play.”

Impact U15 defender Julien Bourassa was awarded the Leadership Bursary, which rewards athletic and academic achievements, as well as significant and inspiring community involvement.

Maxime Bourgeois, Nicolas Desjardins, Oscar Marshall and Brandon Phelps, from the Impact U17, received the Academic Excellence Bursary to recognize outstanding academic achievements.

Finally, Clément Bayiha, Mathieu Choinière, Raphaël Garcia and Yohan Le Bourhis, from the Impact U19, as well as Impact U17’s Junior Kabwe, got the Academic and Athletic Support Bursary to encourage a healthy balance between study and sport.
