Some history and soccer during Spring Break

Recharge your batteries

Established by Fernand Paradis while with the Catholic School Commission of Quebec, the idea of Spring Break came about as a way to counter heavy absenteeism in schools towards the end of February. In order to be recharged and raring to go for exams, he proposed a break, which officially came into effect in 1983.

Trying is embracing

After an initial test phase that brought interest from Quebeckers for this initiative, spring break became an integral part of the school calendar and continues to be for over 30 years now.
