Several Impact players to represent Canada-Québec

For a friendly match versus Haiti on Sunday

MONTREAL
– Several Impact players were invited to represent the Canada-Quebec team in its friendly match versus Haiti U20 this Sunday at 5pm at the Claude-Robillard Sports Complex, in preparation for the Jeux de la Francophonie 2017 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, which will take place from July 21 to July 30, 2017.

First team midfielder Shamit Shome and goalkeeper James Pantemis, who trains full time with the MLS team, will be present on Sunday.

A total of 13 Montreal Impact U18 players were invited for the game: goalkeepers Christopher Hansen-Barkun and Rayane Yesli, defenders Marques Antoine, Chrisnovic N’Sa, Clément Bayiha and Daniel Kinumbe, midfielders Santiago Gonzalez, Moulay Hamza Kanzi Belghiti, Luca Ricci and Mathieu Choinière, as well as forwards Don-Junior Bobe, Gabriel Balbinotti and Souleymane Camara.

Defender Thomas Meilleur-Giguère and forward Jimmy-Shammar Sanon, from the Ottawa Fury FC, will also be part of the group.

Team head coach Valerio Gazzola will announce his final squad featuring the best available U20 players next Tuesday at 2:30pm, at Centre sportif Bois-de-Boulogne, in Laval.

In the group stage of the tournament, Canada-Québec will face the Democratic Republic of Congo on Saturday, July 22, as well as France on Monday, July 24 and Haïti on Wednesday, July 26.
