Read what U18 players had to say after their historic win

u18 quarterfinals v seattle

MARCO DOMINGUEZ – MIDFIELDER - #20

“It wasn't an easy game. Both teams wanted to win the game. We played well collectively, especially defensively. We took advantage of our chances and we were successful in the attacking third. We were well prepared for this game and ready mentally. We knew we were going to play a very good team. We have to keep playing the way we have all season in the semi-finals. We have to prepare mentally and physically for another tough game. I am confident that we will play a good game.”

MELÉ TEMGUIA – DEFENDER - #4

“It was an intense game from start to finish. There was a lot of intensity from both sides. Even though we didn’t have as much possession, we played well defensively and respected our principles of play. We were united as a side, determined to go out and win the game. We were well aware that we were on the road in front of a good crowd, but we were all on the same page and that led us to victory. We have to come back to earth now. We are still high after our win, so we have to regain our focus and be ready for a huge game in the semi-finals.”

FABIO MORELLI – MIDFIELDER - #11

“It was a really high level game. It wasn’t easy, we suffered a little at the start, but we followed what our coach wanted us to do. We managed the game well once we were ahead and kept Seattle off the scoreboard. Our goal now is to win the next game. We are only two wins away from being champions, so now that we are here, our focus becomes getting to the final.”
