Development Academy Cup continues for Impact teams in USSDA
After the Impact Academy hosted New York City FC at Centre Nutrilait last weekend, another MLS academy, the Philadelphia Union, will be the visitor this time around on Saturday, September 28. The Impact U15 will play at 9:30am, the U17 team will play at 11:30am, and the U19s will play at 2:30pm.

Impact U15 looks to bounce back
It wasn’t the easiest of games for the Impact U15 last Saturday, but Nicolas Gagnon’s boys will look to bounce back against a tough Philadelphia side. The Union’s U15 side is unbeaten this year after two games, coming off an impressive 11-0 win over D.C. United’s team just two weeks ago.
The Impact U15, on its end, will be looking to add more consistency in its performances; through four games this season, the team hasn’t managed to lose back-to-back games, although they haven’t strung two victories together either.
U17 perfect thus far
After four games, the Impact U17 has dubbed itself the team to beat in its category, most recently coming off an intense 4-3 win against NYCFC last Saturday.
“We’re a talented group,” said Impact U17 head coach Jason Di Tullio. “We had a few downtimes last weekend against New York and I think we were a little fortunate to come out with a 4-3 win. But the character and the quality of the players helped us.”
One of the team’s biggest standouts after four games is Mouhamadou Kane, who’s already scored eight goals this season, including a brace against NYCFC last weekend.
The Impact U17 is alone in first place in its division, with four consecutive wins in USSDA.
“I know it’ll be our toughest challenge to date,” added Di Tullio. “They’ve only played two games, but I’ve watched films and they’re on both sides on the ball, they’re technical, and they play with a lot of intensity. We’ll need to manage the game well, but I think we could come out on top.”
U19 looking for third straight win
Head coach Philippe Eullaffroy’s men will be looking for a third consecutive win after losing their first two games of the season. Most recently, the Impact U19 dispatched of New York City FC, edging them out 3-1 at Centre Nutrilait, after beating the Players Development Academy 4-2 the previous week.
The Union U19, on its end, is coming off a 4-0 win over D.C. United two weeks ago but lost its opening game to the New England Revolution 4-1.
