The Nutrilait player of the month, a program presented by Nutrilait, is an opportunity for Academy coaches to put forward and reward a player from the U14 and U15 group that distinguished himself, each month. The selection is based on athletic, academic and community criteria that tale into account the player’s efforts, progression, perseverance and involvement. Another important point is the player’s capacity to show initiative and leadership with different actions within the club or the community, all the while respecting the values of the Impact Academy.
The player of the month will have his photo displayed by the Centre Nutrilait locker rooms and will get a $200 gift card at Evangelista Sports.
U14 Nutrilait player of the month
Thomas-Nikolas Anastasopoulos
“In September, Thomas set an example for his teammates,” said Impact U14 head coach Eduardo Sebrango. “Every day, during training, in games or in meetings, Thomas showed his leadership qualities and his seriousness in his development as a soccer player. He stood out with his capacity to remain consistent during the month.”
U15 Nutrilait player of the month
Julien Bourassa
“In September, Julien stood out in many ways,” said Impact U15 head coach Serge Dinkota. “He has captained the U15 team in two of their four first games in the Development Academy and played all the minutes. Julien, who we identify by his long hair, also decided to do the Impact’s Shaved Head Challenge, raising around $1,500 for Leucan. He is a young leader who always wants to learn and progress, which is important for us at the Montreal Impact Academy.”
