New security measures to come fully into force at Stade Saputo starting this Saturday

All bags bigger than 14 inches x 14 inches x 6 inches will be prohibited.

Following the various security measures adopted in stadiums across the world, new security measures regarding the search of supporters and the control of bags across all the league’s stadiums have been announced earlier this season .


The Montreal Impact wishes to inform you that these measures will be fully enforced at Stade Saputo starting this Saturday, July 2 for the game against New England Revolution. Please note that bags smaller than 35 cm x 35 cm x 15 cm are allowed in the stadium.


To ensure that fans are able to enjoy a safe environment to attend games, the following will be prohibited:


  • Large purses;
  • Coolers;
  • Briefcases;
  • Backpacks;
  • Luggage of any kind;
  • Computer bags;
  • Camera bags;
  • Any bag or accessory larger than 14’’x14’’x6’’.


Please note that all bags will be searched upon entry at Stade Saputo, as was the case in past seasons.


We wish to inform you that re-entry in Stade Saputo is not allowed. It is not possible to leave the stadium’s premises to come back inside later, with the exception of an emergency.

The club also wishes to inform supporters that steps will be taken to ensure you can enter Stade Saputo quickly, but we advise that you arrive early at the stadium to prevent any delay.
