LONDON, United Kingdom - CF Montréal announced Tuesday that its FIFA22 eSports player, presented by BMO, Alix Largerie (Loux11) and his partner Joshua Clemente (America845) will compete in the EA Sports Team of the Season (TOTS) Cup. The international tournament, which brings together the 32 best FIFA22 duos in the world, will be held at the Here East media complex in London from April 29 to May 1.
CF Montréal’s representatives will play their first match on Friday. The top 24 teams in the standings will advance to the championship bracket.
In addition to receiving one of the highest international honours in eSports, $100,000 in prize money will also be awarded to the champions.
Largerie and Clemente earned their ticket to the tournament by winning the Washington Open, after defeating New York City FC 4-2 in the final on December 10, 2021. The competition featured the top eSports teams from across Eastern Canada and the United States.
Only three MLS clubs qualified for this year’s tournament, including Houston Dynamo FC and Atlanta United FC.
CF Montréal signed Loux11 as its latest FIFA22 eSports player on October 1, 2021. Having recently completed his first season with the Club, he was named Rookie of the Year, narrowly missing out on qualification for the MLS Cup, which features the top 12 players in the league.
All tournament matches will be livestreamed HERE
