COLUMBUS, Ohio – CF Montréal concluded a sequence of seven consecutive away games with a 2-1 defeat against Columbus Crew on Saturday night at Lower.com Field.
Columbus opened the scoring with a goal from Aziel Jackson in the 11th minute, then Jacen Russell-Rowe doubled their lead in the 26th minute.
Caden Clark thought he had scored for Montréal in the 36th minute, but the midfielder was found to be offside after a video review.
CF Montréal reduced the deficit in the 52nd minute when Prince Owusu pounced on a shot from Clark that hit the post. The German forward scored his second goal of the season, confirmed by the referee after a video review.
Victor Loturi also thought he had scored in the 84th minute, but the video review concluded that the Canadian midfielder was offside.
