On getting the start…
Coming into the game, I felt that the coaching staff had confidence in me and that confidence gave me wings today. They asked me to play a position that I never played before in a game. It was an incredible feeling.
On scoring his first MLS goal...
I actually dreamt about it. I pictured it in my head. I didn’t sleep last night and I dreamt of scoring a big goal for the team. When the play unfolded, I didn’t think, it was all instinct. Afterwards, I didn’t know what to do! I’m glad that the guys jumped on me because I had no idea of what I would have done.
