Limniatis played 44 times with the National team between 1987 and 1997. He represented Canada in three FIFA World Cup qualifiers (1990, 1994 and 1998) and three CONCACAF Gold Cup tournaments.
He also evolved at the pro level in Canada with the Impact, from 1993 to 1998, as well as in 2000 and 2001. Limniatis also played five seasons in Greece with Aris Salonika (1st division) and Panetolikos Agrinio (2nd division).
