Montreal Impact president Joey Saputo addressed the media Wednesday, at a round table at Stade Saputo.
Disappointed by ticket sales so far, Joey Saputo took the opportunity to make a plea to supporters and Montreal sports fans, to ensure they come out in large numbers at Olympic Stadium on March 3, for the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals against Mexican club Pachuca.
"This will be an extraordinary international event. Joey Saputo’s plea must become a rallying cry,” said executive vice president of soccer operations Richard Legendre. “We want to reverse the trend over the next few days, because we are going to play a crucial match in just 26 days and we must change things before it's too late."
