This Saturday, the Impact will face an MLS academy for the first time in this Development Academy season, at Belson Stadium in the State of New York, as Montreal gets set to take on New York City FC.
The Impact U15 will play at 11am, the U19 at 1pm and the U17 at 3pm.
It’s also the first of three consecutive matchups in three weeks in which the Impact will face MLS academies. In the following weeks, the Bleu-blanc-noir will face the New England Revolution and the Philadelphia Union at Centre Nutrilait.

With a total of 18 goals scored and only one conceded, the three Academy teams can say that their return to Centre Nutrilait was a success last weekend. The teams also strengthened their position at the top of their group and of the league standings by remaining unbeaten.
The Impact U15 and U17 have a 3-0-0 record while the Impact U19 has a 2-0-0 record.
New York City FC
Last year, New York City FC’s teams got us accustomed to high standards with their play and results, spending the season near the top of the standings. The beginning of the season is more complicated this time around for the U15 team that has won only once in three games, having lost 4-1 in its first game of the season against the Philadelphia Union and 2-1 against Cedar Stars Academy last Sunday.
The U17 team is in a better position, with two wins, while the U19 team has one win and one loss. We remind you that the Citizens U19 team finished first in the Development Academy playoffs last year.
About the New York City FC academy
Founded in 2015, at the same time the club began playing in MLS, the New York City FC academy already has two players that graduated into the first team roster. Midfielder James Sands and defender Joe Scally both signed homegrown contracts.
Its academy teams train and play most of their matches on the fields of St. John’s University.
