Impact wins two of three against the Revolution
The Bleu-blanc-noir faced a tough challenge at Centre Nutrilait last weekend in the Development Academy, as the three unbeaten Impact teams were hosting the New England Revolution.
The U15 won 5-0, the U19 4-0 and the U17 lost 2-1.
The younger ones win
The younger Impact players didn’t waste time getting the better of their opponents.
Gabriel Antinoro scored in the 22nd minute on a pass from Jean-Aniel Assi. The Impact then scored four quick goals in the second half. Loic Cloutier scored on a penalty in the 55th minute, followed by another Antinoro goal a minute later. Then, Jean-Aniel Assi scored his first of the day in the 59th minute, followed by his second in the 67th minute.
It’s a fifth straight win for Serge Dinkota’s players and a third clean sheet this season.
The Impact U17 loses 2-1
The Impact U17 registered its first loss of the season in its fifth game.
After a goalless first half, the Revolution scored upon returning from the locker room. The Impact replied with a superb goal, when Matthew Catavolo volleyed a cross from Junior Kabwé into the back of the net.
The Revs scored the winning goal ten minutes later, and the Impact was not able to come back from behind for a second time.
A first clean sheet for the Impact U19
Striker Woobens Pacius scored a brace in the 4-0 clean sheet win. He scored his first in the first half on a pass from Mikale Fontaine and his second in the 61st minute on a pass from Brandon Garcia.
A few minutes later, winger Tristan Resendes beat his defender before entering the box and beating the keeper.
Midfielder Calin Calaidjoglu also scored, from the penalty spot in the 77th minute.
