Early goal sinks home side
In the first game of the day on Saturday, the visitors got on the board early, scoring in the third minute thanks to a strike from Carlo Brown. Although the Impact remained behind by just a goal until early in the second half, two quick strikes in the 52nd and 54th minutes put the game out of reach for the Impact U15.
With two wins and two losses thus far this season, the Impact U15 remains on the top end of the standings, currently in fourth with six points.
Barrage of goals
Those who took in the Impact U17 game at Centre Nutrilait were in for a treat, Saturday afternoon, the Impact U17 edging out the Big Apple representatives 4-3. The goals started when Rida Zouhir and Medgy Alexandre found the back of the net in the opening 30 minutes, although the visitors were able to pull one back before the end of the half.
NYCFC scored two goals in less than three minutes early in the second half, but a brace from Mouhamadou Kane, his seventh and eighth goals of the season already, would propel the home side to victory.
Mujtaba Mir Hasan keeps scoring
Philippe Eullaffroy’s men took inspiration from the U17 performance preceding their matchup, opening the scoring with two quick goals from Mujtaba Mir Hasan, in the 14th minute, and Sean Rea, in the 19th, despite the visitors cutting the deficit minutes later. Hasan, after scoring five goals in two games last weekend, added another before the end of the half, restoring his team’s two-goal lead.
They were able to hang on until the final whistle, signing their second victory of the 2019-20 season. Hasan, on his end, leads his team with eight goals this season.
