The Impact U17 moves on to the Development Academy quarterfinals

OCEANSIDE, California – For the first time in the club’s Academy’s history, the Impact U17 qualified for the Development Academy quarterfinals on Saturday, after finishing first in its group.


The team coached, by Nicolas Gagnon, won its three games in the group phase. It won 3-1 against the Carolina Rapids, 4-3 against Players Development Academy and 2-0 against Saint Louis FC Academy.


The Impact will face Sacramento Republic FC on Tuesday, June 26, at 4pm, in Oceanside, California.  The team will try to get a spot in the semifinals played in Kansas City, on July 8.


The Impact U17 finished first in its division during the regular season with a 17-6-3 record.


The U19 team also finished the group phase strong with a 3-0 win against Atlanta United, but LA Galaxy finished first of the group and will move on to quarterfinals.
