Impact U14 returns to Tournoi Sans Frontière in France

MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact Academy announced on Friday that the Impact U14 will be back at Tournoi Sans Frontière in Sens, France, for a third straight year, from April 19 to 22, 2019.


Head coach Eduardo Sebrango’s team will be in group E, with FC Nantes, Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace and Stade de Reims.


Montreal will play its first game on Friday, April 19, at 2:30pm EDT against Stade de Reims. The team will then face FC Nantes on Saturday, April 20, at 6:40am EDT, followed by the last group game at 10am EDT against Strasbourg.


This is a high-level tournament with 20 teams, including many French clubs. Paris Saint-Germain, Olympique de Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais and AS Monaco are amongst the Ligue 1 clubs participating in the tournament, while international clubs like K.R.C. Genk (Belgium) and FC Tokyo (Japan) will also be taking part in the tournament.


In 2018, the Impact U14 finished 12th out of 25 teams, while they finished 11th out of 24 clubs the year before.


The Impact U14 will also take part in the International U14, presented by the Fédération des producteurs d’oeufs du Québec, from June 27 to 30, 2019, at Centre Nutrilait.
