Last Saturday, the U15 and U17 Impact teams were the only ones playing Development Academy games at Centre Nutrilait. Both teams dominated the New York club, with 8-0 (U15) and 6-1 (U17) wins.
Still undefeated
The Impact U15 didn’t concede a goal for a third consecutive game and had its best result of the season with this 8-0 win.
Other than an own goal, Dominique Morin’s players shared attacking duties with seven different goal scorers. Jean-Aniel Assi, Gabriel Antinoro, Charles-Étienne Volcy, Jordan Therrien, Maël Henry, Loic Cloutier and Medgy Alexandre were the scorers.
The U15 team scored 15 goals in three games since the Development Academy season resumed in 2019, conceded none. The team has a 13-0-2 record.
A decisive result to bounce back
The Impact U17 bounced back from last week’s subpar performance in the best way with a convincing 6-1 win against NYSC.
After 10 difficult minutes, the Impact found its bearings and scored two goals, from Mouhamadou Kane and Sean Rea, before New York scored. Kane added another goal just before halftime.
In the second half, Matthew Catavolo, Junior Kabwé and Abdul Binate scored the other three Bleu-blanc-noir goals.
Now with a 11-5-2 record, the win gives Nicolas Gagnon’s team some breathing room, although Beachside Soccer Club remains close to the Montreal team in the standings.
Next games
The Impact will be back on the road for its next games in the Development Academy this Saturday, April 6, to face Empire United, in Henrietta, New York.
The U15 will play at 10am, the U17 at 12:10pm and the U19 at 2:30pm.
