Montreal is amongst the best in the Champions Division
MONTREAL – The Impact U17 will be back at the Generation adidas Cup, starting on Saturday, at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
The Impact will play in the Champions Division for the first time in its history, with seven other MLS teams and eight international teams, after beating the Houston Dynamo 2-0 in its last qualifying game, on February 18.
Head coach Nicolas Gagnon’s team is in Group D with Valencia CF (Spain), Flamengo (Brazil), and the Seattle Sounders FC.
The Impact U17 will begin its tournament on Saturday, at 11:45am (EDT) against the Seattle Sounders FC. On Sunday, April 14, the team will face Flamengo at 11:45am (EDT) and Valencia CF in the last group game at 6:45pm (EDT).
Both teams finishing first of the group will go through to the quarterfinals, on Tuesday, April 16. The semifinals will be played on Thursday, April 18 and the final on Saturday, April 20.
In its regular season, the Impact U17 is currently first of the Development Academy Northeast division with a 11-5-2 record.
