Back in Montreal after a round trip to New Hampshire, the Impact Development Academy teams will host New York City FC’s youth teams this Saturday, at Centre Nutrilait. All games will be open to the public and free of charge.
The U15 team plays at 10am, the U17 team kicks off at noon and the U19 team starts at 2:30pm.
The Bleu-blanc-noir’s U17 and U19 teams are first in their division, with respective records of 5-1-0 and 6-0-0, while the U15 team is second in its group, with a 6-1-0 record.

New York City FC is pretty new to the Development Academy. The Impact faced them twice with its U16 team, last season. The Bleu-blanc-noir got a win and a draw.
Opponent’s results
New York City FC’s U15 team is currently 4th in their division, with a 3-1-4 record. The team has not been proficient in front of the opposition’s net, with only seven goal in eight games, but they can be proud of their defensive record, as they have allowed only six goals so far and recorded five clean sheets.
At the U17 level, New York has a 4-2-2 record and more finishing quality, with 20 goals scored and eight allowed. However, the team is on a bad stretch, winless in its last two games, and will want to leave its mark at Centre Nutrilait.
NYCFC’s U19 team is still unbeaten, like the Impact U19, with a 5-0-3 record, and is just behind the Impact in 2nd place. One of their players to watch is Giovanni Reyna, with already five goals with his academy’s oldest team at only 14 years old. In addition to being Claudio Reyna’s son, the club’s technical director, he is also one of the most promising players of the United States’ youth teams.

Founded in 2015 at the same time as the MLS club, New York City FC’s Academy has already seen a player push through the ranks and sign a professional contract, as midfielder James Sands did when he earned a Homegrown contract in 2017.
New York City FC’s youth teams train and play their games at St. John’s University.
In April 2017, NYCFC’s U16 team won the Generation Adidas Cup Premier Division in the final against Mexican club Tigres.
