A good bounce-back win for the Academy teams who suffered losses against the Philadelphia Union the week before. They are now back to winning ways, solidifying their position at the top of the division.
The opponent
The Met Oval U15 season is going well. The club is in the same division as the Impact and is currently in fifth, in front of NYCFC, but still out of the playoff picture with a 4-2-1 record. The team won its last game 3-2 against BW Gottschee and has one of the league’s best scorers, Massimo Murania Yankowitz, who scored nine goals in seven matches.
The U17 team is having a tougher start to the season, as it sits before last in the Northeast division with a 1-4-2 record. The only positive point is that its only win came in the last game, a 3-1 win against BW Gottschee.
