Mayor Gérald Tremblay invited Impact president Joey Saputo, executive vice president Richard Legendre, technical director Nick De Santis, head coach Marc Dos Santos, team captain Mauro Biello and the players to sign the city’s Golden Book.
The Impact then received a standing ovation on the Bell Centre ice prior to the Canadiens game against the Atlanta Trashers. Mauro Biello, Marc Dos Santos and the players presented the cup.
In the scope of the festivities, the Impact will be at the National Assembly Wednesday morning. A public gathering will then take place Thursday at noon on Crescent Street, between Maisonneuve and Saint-Catherine Streets. The Impact will be on hand to exchange with the public and sign autographs.
