The Impact and Suzuki announce partnership

“We are very pleased to count on this new partner, who becomes the first car manufacturer in history to sign a partnership with the Impact,” said Montreal Impact Vice President Sales, Marketing & Operations John Di Terlizzi. “The Impact is reaching out to a young, family-oriented and dynamic crowd, just like Suzuki. I’m sure that this association will be beneficial for both companies.”

"Suzuki is proud to be associated with the Montreal Impact soccer team as official transportation supplier," said Mike Kurnik National Manager, Advertising and Public Relations for Suzuki Canada. "We are excited to be partnered with such a family-oriented sport and team. We look forward to showing our award-winning lineup to soccer fans across the province, including our all new midsize crossover SUV, the XL7, the compact crossover SX4 and the highly praised Grand Vitara."

The agreement with Suzuki includes several visibility elements, notably various in-stadium signage as well as a community component, which will be launched in 2008.

Established in 1973 as a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation in Japan, Suzuki Canada has over 500 Automotive, Motorcycle, ATV and Marine dealerships in Canada.

Suzuki is the 11th largest manufacturer in the world (out of 40), having globally sold over 5.2 million products in 2006.
