For the game, Impact head coach Nick De Santis fielded a team almost exclusively composed of players still on trial with the club.

Gladstone Richards (10), Matt Budreski (12), Wyn Belotte (75) and Alpha Bah (82) scored for Montreal. Goalkeepers Erik Lefebvre and Vincent Dubé shared the shutout.

Impact defenders Adam Braz and David Fronimadis, and midfielder Patrick Leduc were the only players under contract with the team who took part in the friendly match-up.


NOTES
> David Fronimadis was back in action for the first time since he suffered a knee injury, last year. The 22-year-old defender tore his ligaments in his left knee during an exhibition game, May 23, and was forced to sit out the rest of the 2004 season.

> Goalkeeper Greg Sutton will leave Montreal Sunday to join the Canadian National Team which will be playing an exhibition game against Portugal, March 26. The game will be played in Barcelos.

> The Impact’s official training camp kicks off April 1 at the Catalogna Soccerplexe.

> Montreal will defend its First Division United Soccer Leagues championship title with a double-header in Puerto Rico, against the Islanders, April 29 and May 1.

> The Impact will play the 12th home opener of its history at Claude-Robillard Stadium May 29, in a showdown against the Rochester Raging Rhinos.

> The Impact resumes training next week at the Catalogna Soccerplexe, in Lachine. The team will play a second pre-season game, against a selection from the National Training Centre, Saturday, March 26 at 9:30 am, in Lachine.
