Midfielder Antonio Ribeiro opened the score in the 21st minute and newcomer Félix Brillant doubled the score in the 73rd minute.
Impact goalkeeper Andrew Weber registered the shutout, notably stopping the low shot from Attak forward Nicolas Lesage on a breakaway in the 10th minute.
“Today’s win is good for the team’s morale, said Impact head coach John Limniatis. It’s also great because we had the chance to see players from both teams but also to play in front of our fans here in Quebec City.”
The Impact will play its next regular season game Friday, August 8 against the Carolina RailHawks (7:30 pm, USLlive.com).
The Impact will play its next game at Saputo Stadium, Wednesday, August 13, against the Rochester Rhinos. All tickets for that game will be on sale as of Monday for $10 ($5 16 and under) and hot dogs will be $1.
