Last Saturday, the Fédération de soccer du Québec held its annual Gala de la Mi-Temps, honouring athletes, coaches, referees, volunteers, clubs, regional associations and events that stood out over the last year.

The Montreal Impact was represented in three categories.

In the Joueur pro category, awarded to the best male professional player over 23 years old, Bleu-blanc-noir defender Wandrille Lefèvre was nominated along with Quebecers André Hainault and the winner of the title, Olivier Occéan.

In the Joueur senior category, awarded to the best male professional player under 23 years old, the Impact’s Maxime Crépeau and Maxim Tissot were nominated, but Samuel Piette won the title.

Finally, in the Joueur juvénile category, three Academy players were nominated. David Choinière (U18), Thomas Meilleur-Giguère (U18) and Ballou Jean-Yves Tabla (FC Montreal) represented the club. Tabla, who just signed his first pro contract with FC Montreal at the age of 16 years old, won the award.

At the beginning of the gala, the Fédération de soccer du Québec also insisted on thanking their partners, including the Montreal Impact.
