The Impact took the lead 30 minutes into the first half of its 2-1 win over the Portland Timbers Matteo Ferrari managed to beat his marker near the half circle with an outstretched foot, flicking the ball over towards Camara five yards to his right. The Frenchmen’s spectacular overhead volley with his back towards goal drifted passed Timbers’ goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts to his right.
