Four CF Montréal Academy players called up by Haiti's U17 team

MONTREAL – CF Montréal Academy players Aleksandr Guboglo, Dylan Pierre Alexis, Samuel Pierre Lamarre and Sébastien Udell Joseph have been called up by the Haitian U17 team ahead of the upcoming Concacaf U17 Championship, from February 11 to 26 in Guatemala.

The four players currently play with CF Montréal’s U17 squad in the MLS NEXT championship.

Aleksandr Guboglo, a 16-year-old forward, joined the organization from Ottawa South United in 2019. Dylan Pierre Alexis, a 16-year-old midfielder, played for CS Longueuil before joining the Academy in 2020. Samuel Pierre Lamarre, a 16-year-old defender, entered the Academy last year from AS Blainville. Sébastien Udell Joseph, a 16-year-old forward, joined the organization in 2022 from CS Braves d’Ahuntsic.

Haiti has been drawn into Group H alongside Honduras, El Salvador, and Suriname. The top three nations from the group advance to the Round of 16. From the knockout phase, the top four nations will qualify for the FIFA U-17 Word Cup Peru 2023 from November 10 to December 2.

As a reminder, CF Montréal Academy players Alessandro Biello, Gaël De Montigny, Étienne Godin and Antoine Sedar N’Diaye were also called up by Canada’s U17 team for the tournament.
