Defender Shaun Francis selected by the Jamaican national team

MONTREAL – Impact defender Shaun Francis has been selected by the Jamaican national team to take part in an international friendly against Canada, on Saturday, September 2, at BMO Field, in Toronto.
Francis, 30, has scored three goals and started 12 career games with the Reggae Boyz, making his senior debut on October 10, 2010, in a friendly against Trinidad and Tobago. He scored his first international goal on November 29, 2010, against Guadeloupe, helping his nation win the Caribbean Championship. He recently started two games at the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, scoring an important goal against Canada in the quarterfinal round.
Striker Anthony Jackson-Hamel, midfielders Samuel Piette and David Choinière, as well as goalkeeper James Pantemis, have also been called up for this game by the Canadian national team.
