CF Montréal to resume training on Wednesday at Olympic Stadium

MONTREAL – Following routine player medical testing held on Monday, CF Montréal announced its full roster ahead of the Club’s training camp, presented by Allstate Insurance, of which the first portion will be held between January 12 and 27 at Olympic Stadium. The team will continue its preseason preparations in Orlando until February 3 and conclude in Fort Lauderdale until February 13.

A total of 30 players under contract will attend 2022 preseason training, including newcomers Gabriele Corbo and Alistair Johnston. In total, CF Montréal will have 15 players from Quebec (18 Canadians), and 12 internationals, representing 10 different nations.

Three Academy players have also been called up to the first team camp : forward/winger Jérémie Omeonga (2002), winger Gabriel Antinoro (2004), and midfielder Matteo Schiavoni (2005).

Midfielder Tomas Giraldo, who missed the entirety of last season through injury, is back with the Club, his 2021 contract having been extended to the current year.

CF Montréal’s 2021 MVP, Djordje Mihailovic, will not begin the preseason with his teammates, following the player’s selection in the United States men’s national team January training camp, taking place in Arizona, from January 7 to 21.

The player(s) drafted by CF Montréal in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft, set to take place Tuesday afternoon, will also be expected to join the group on trial.
