CF Montréal returns home to take on Charlotte FC on Wednesday

MONTREAL – CF Montréal returns to Stade Saputo on Wednesday for a clash against Charlotte FC at 7:30 p.m. EDT (Apple TV, TSN 690). 

Philippe Eullaffroy’s squad ended a three-game, seven-days’ away stretch in all competitions in the City of Brotherly Love with a 2-0 loss to the Philadelphia Union last Saturday. 

The Bleu-blanc-noir holds an overall record of 5-2-1 (12 goals scored, six goals conceded) and a 3-1-0 home record (six goals scored, three goals conceded) against Charlotte. 

Charlotte FC sits 5th in the Eastern Conference and is undefeated in its last five matches. Dean Smith’s squad held Houston Dynamo FC to a 0-0 draw at home last Saturday. Charlotte will be without midfielder Ashley Westwood, who received a second yellow card in the match and will serve a one-game suspension on Wednesday.   

Midfielder Dante Sealy could feature in his first game back at Stade Saputo since his return to the Club on Aug. 28. Sealy made his first start back with the Club in a 1-1 draw to Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the first leg of the TELUS Canadian Championship semifinals last Wednesday.
