CHICAGO, Illinois - Still unbeaten in three games so far this season, CF Montréal will travel to the American Midwest to take on Chicago Fire FC this Saturday at 2pm EDT at Soldier Field (MLS Season Pass, BPM Sports, TSN 690).

With seven points in the bank after three weeks of MLS action (2-0-1), the Montrealers have equaled a record for the longest unbeaten away streak at the start of a season. This record was first set in 2020. Further, Laurent Courtois' men are already one point away from tying the total number of points obtained on the road in 2023.

The Bleu-blanc-noir will also be looking to improve their record at Soldier Field. With a record of 3-6-3 in Illinois and a goal differential of -7 (overall record of 12-8-7), CF Montréal suffered a 3-0 setback in their last outing in Chicago on July 12, 2023.

There have also been some important individual milestones since the win over Miami. Fernando Álvarez and Matías Cóccaro both scored their first career CF Montréal goals, while Dominic Iankov and Josef Martínez picked up their first assists.

Lastly, on the eve of the March international break, four CF Montréal players were called up by the Canadian national team ahead of a play-in match against Trinidad and Tobago for a spot in CONMEBOL’s 2024 Copa América. The match is scheduled for March 23 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. With this quartet, CF Montréal has the largest number of players called up by Canada during this international window.

Two other Montréal players will be joining their respective national teams. Midfielder Ariel Lassiter has been called up by Costa Rica for a 2024 Copa América play-off match against Honduras, as well as a friendly against Argentina. Defender George Campbell will join the U23 United States national team for two friendlies against Guinea and France in preparation for the Paris Olympic Games.
