The Montrealers have recorded consecutive draws at home to start the month of August. On Aug. 1, the Bleu-blanc-noir overcame a two-goal second half deficit courtesy goals from Brayan Vera and Prince Owusu to earn one point against the New England Revolution. This past Saturday, Owusu scored from the penalty spot but D.C. United found an equalizer and CF MontrĂ©al settled for a 1-1 result.Â
Philippe Eullaffroy’s squad holds an all-time record of 9-15-7 (42 goals scored, 49 goals conceded) against the Crew including a 3-11-3 record (19 goals scored, 32 goals conceded) when playing in Columbus. Â
The Crew saw its four-game unbeaten streak, in all competition, snapped last weekend in a 3-1 road loss at Charlotte FC. Earlier in the month, the Crew also qualified for the 2026 Leagues Cup quarterfinals after finishing in third place of the Phase One MLS standing with a 2-0-1-0 record. Â
Columbus interim head coach Laurent Courtois will oppose his former team for the first time on Wednesday. The Frenchman, who was named to the post on May 17, was the Bleu-blanc-noir’s head coach from January 2024 to March 2025.
