MONTREAL – CF Montréal announced on Wednesday the acquisition of American goalkeeper Logan Ketterer, who signed a one-year deal including two option years in 2023 and 2024.

“We were looking for another goalkeeper and Logan has the profile we were looking for with experience in MLS and USL,” said CF Montréal Sporting Director Olivier Renard. “We are happy to welcome him to the team.”

Ketterer, 28, is a fourth-round pick (71st overall) from the Columbus Crew SC in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. He played once with the Crew on June 6, 2018, in a fourth round US Open Cup match against the Chicago Fire.

On January 18, 2019, he joined El Paso Locomotive FC in the USL Championship. In three seasons, he played 82 matches in all competitions and 7,380 minutes, tallying 30 shutouts. With El Paso he helped the team reaching the playoffs in three consecutive seasons and led his team to the Western Conference final twice.

In 2021, on loan with the Portland Timbers, he registered two shutouts in three MLS regular season games.

Ketterer played his high school soccer with The Prairie leading the Hawks to two State championships in 2010 and 2011. He then played for Bradley University from 2013 to 2016, ending his college career with 51 games and 12 shutouts.
