The Montreal Impact Academy is taking part in the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge this Tuesday at 11:30am, on the synthetic field at Stade Saputo, in order to support first team defender Karl W. Ouimette who participates in the event annually.
This year, 13 players from the Academy are getting involved: Rickson Aristilde and Gabriel Beaupré-Poirier (Impact U13), Vinyo Alipui, Kareem Sow and Shawn Rojas (Impact U14), Garven Michée Metusala, Franck Sany-Kong and Kevin Tran (Impact U16), Marco Dominguez (Impact U18), as well as Jems Geffrard, Franck Zoue, Kévin Lafond and Mitchel Bringolf (Impact U23).
The Shaved Head Challenge supports children forced to live with changes to their personage following hair loss due to chemotherapy. It also helps raise money for the families of children suffering from cancer as well as assists in research efforts.
