The Montreal Impact Academy clubs dictated play versus BSC CT Academy this past weekend, with the U18s topping the Bridgeport club 6-1 on Saturday, while the U16s were also victorious in Connecticut by a 2-1 score.

Midfielder Heikel Jarras scored four goals and right winger Fabio Morelli added a brace in a solid road performance for the Impact U18s in the early game, at the University of Bridgeport.

“The game was a lot closer than the score indicated,” said head coach Jason DiTullio. “Our maturity and experience towards the end of the game shone through and helped us earn a great result. We’ve been working toward putting together a good, quality performance on the road and in doing so this past weekend, we earned our first away win this season.”

The U16s then won a hard fought game by a 2-1 score, on goals by forward Gabriel Wiethaeauper Balbinotti and midfielder David Choiniere.

"We played a solid game in cold, windy conditions,” said Impact U16 head coach Simon Gatti. “We were especially good defensively, but didn’t create too much on the offensive side of the ball. When we did, we took advantage. We were good in front of the goal. We also closed the game off well in the final 20 minutes.”
