Academy report: Impact U16 and U18 each get a point on the road

The Impact U16 and U18 teams took part in a double-header weekend, playing two games in less than 24 hours against FC Bolts Celtic on Saturday and against the New England Revolution the next day.


The under 18s, managed by head coach Wilfried Nancy, tied 2-2 against FC Bolts at Mount Ida College in Newton, Massachusetts. Michael Bilak scored his first of the campaign, while the second goal was an own goal, in the team’s 7th draw of the season. The team was then blanked 1-0 against the Revs on Sunday morning.


The Impact U16 also obtained one point this weekend. After suffering a 2-0 loss against FC Bolts, the team managed a 0-0 draw against the Revolution at Durfee High School.


With these results, the Impact U18 is now in 7th rank of the Northeast division with a 2-2-7 record while the U16 team is also 7th in its division with a 4-5-3 record.


The Academy teams will benefit from a 20-day break in USSDA action, before playing three games in four days at the Premier Sports Complex, in Florida, against Real Salt Lake, the Seattle Sounders FC and the Concorde Fire.
