Following a weekend off, the Impact Academy teams are set to return to action this weekend, with the U21s playing on Saturday at home and the USSDA youth sides set for action on Sunday in New Jersey.
The U21 team will host its first home game of the season, at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex, on Saturday against Dartmouth College at 5:30pm ET.
The Impact have played three games so far this season, all on the road, amassing a record of two ties and one loss – all against American universities.
The U21 team plays in 2013 several exhibition games versus strong competition from US universities, USL Pro and NASL.
Impact U16 & U18
Following a bye-week, the Montreal Impact U18 and U16 teams will return to action on the road Sunday against the first place New York Red Bulls, at NJIT – Lubetkin Field, with kickoff at 12:30pm for the U18s and 3pm for the U16s.
“This will be a good test for both our teams,” said Impact U18 head coach Jason DiTullio, whose side has gone undefeated since returning to action from the winter break. “They have been one of the top clubs in the USSDA for a few years and we will have to continue to stick to our identity if we want to be successful.”
Both youth sides were victorious in their last matchups versus Seacoast United, back on April 23, when the U18s hammered its opposition 6-1, while the U16s shutout the team from New Hampshire 1-0.
