2015 was an historical year for the Montreal Impact and its Academy with many unforgettable moments. Here is a Top 5 of the best Academy events from the last year.
5 – Mauro Biello tournament
It’s now an annual tradition. Each year, the Montreal Impact Academy hosts the Mauro Biello tournament. This year, eight U14 teams from across the province faced each other.
For the first time, the host team won the trophy in 2015, in February. The Impact won the finale 2-1 against Saint-Hubert.
The tournament was a success as 160 players and 250 coaches, parents or other fans were present to participate in an event that emphasizes fair play, talent and fun.
