800 Impact supporters in Toronto

Impact Supporters Toronto

What started as a 2014 renewal incentive ended in an invasion of Toronto by some 800 IMFC supporters who cheered on as their bleu-blanc-noir eliminated arch rivals Toronto FC from playoff contention in enemy territory.

All members who had renewed their tickets before October 28th, 2013 were offered a ticket to a game in Toronto in 2014, which just so happened to be the matchup in which the Impact played to a 1-1 tie at BMO Field on October 18, and consequently ended TFCs playoff hopes.

One bus of 56 members was organized by the club to travel to T.O. for the day together, while a second bus was organized by the supporters group. All of the rest of the members in attendance either drove, took the train or plane and made a weekend getaway in Toronto from the event.

In the end, the largest away supporters trip in IMFC history ended with cheers as the Reds were once again left on the outside of the playoffs looking in, but this time, at the hands of the Canadian cousins.
