Here is the Top 5 most memorable moments for the club in Champions League:

5) Two goals from forward Roberto Brown led the Montreal Impact to a 2-1 win against Honduran side CD Olimpia back on October 1, 2008, in front of a very hostile crowd at Tiburcio Carias Andino Stadium (Estadio National) in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. After being fouled in the box, the Impact striker took the penalty kick and scored the game-winning goal in the 72nd minute, a crucial win on the road.

4) Another big result on the road, this time earlier in 2014 when IMFC came out on top in a 3-2 win over CD FAS in El Salvador on August 21. After a difficult road game in Central America back in 2013 Champions League group play in Guatemala, the bleu-blanc-noir struck early, scoring twice in the game’s first 10 minutes on its way to victory, despite playing the final 20 minutes down a man following the ejection of Felipe. Marco Di Vaio scored twice, while new DP Ignacio Piatti was involved in all three goals.

3) The Montreal Impact surprised the soccer world as they held CD Olimpia to a 1-1 tie at a rain-swept Stade Saputo Stadium on October 21, 2008, officially qualifying for the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Champions League for the first time in its history and a first for Canadian soccer. Once again, Roberto Brown scored a big goal, this time in the 40th minute.

2)  On October 22, 2014, the Impact closed out group play in the Champions League with a 1-1 draw versus the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena, on a goal by Jack McInerney. With the draw, the bleu-blanc-noir finished atop its group with 10 points and finished as the 4th seed for the quarterfinal knockout series set to begin in February. As a result, the Impact now has home field advantage in the quarterfinals, playing the home leg at Olympic Stadium in the return match on March 3.

1) In 2008, the Impact reached the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal, winning the home leg against Mexican first division club Santos Laguna in front of 55,571 spectators at Olympic Stadium, on February 25, 2009. Forward Eduardo Sebrango scored both goals in a 2-0 win. This game put the club on the map in North American soccer and helped flame a love affair with fans across the province. Goalkeeper Matt Jordan registered the shutout following eight saves during the game.
