Captain Abdel-Malick Daouda said: “It was important to start the season well in Montreal. The first half was a bit complicated but we managed to unblock the situation in the second half. We still did a good job defensively without taking a goal so we have to keep going.”
Head Coach Patrick Viollat said: “It’s a good first home game, especially on the Club’s 30th anniversary. The first half was mixed: we had the ball but we were not dangerous against an organized opponent. We made adjustments at halftime, especially in terms of mentality, choices and types of runs. We saw the difference-- it was as if another team had come back from the locker room. We clearly dominated the second half and that’s what we want to see going forward. Congratulations to the players.”
