SAINT LOUIS, MO - FC Montreal ends its 10-day road trip, totaling three games, against Saint Louis FC Saturday night at 8:30pm, at the World Wide Technology Soccer Park. The game will be available via webcast at www.impactmontreal.com/fcmontreal.

In its last game, Montreal went onto a convincing win against Louisville, winning 4-0 and putting an end to the opponent’s six game winning streak. Alessandro Riggi scored a brace while his teammates Jacques Haman and Fabio Morelli scored the other two goals.

Since the second half of the season, FC Montreal has amassed a record of 4-1-1, including three shutouts in its last four games. These positive results have helped the team climb to 10th in the Eastern Conference.

"We are very satisfied with our play on the backline and in goal," said Defender Mélé Temguia. “All 11 players on the field are defending first, before pushing forward. It is about team work. When we are solid defensively, it frees us up offensively and it gives us confidence.”

Saint Louis is not recognized as an offensive power, scoring an average of 1.05 goals per game. The top two scorers for the Missouri club, with four goals each, are Jermie Lynch and Bryan Gaul.

The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 5-2 win for FC Montreal at home. Charles Joly scored a hat-trick in the first half. The young striker will not be available for the match, suspended following his ejection against Charleston on August 1.

"We always approach the game the same way," said head coach Philippe Eullaffroy. “We want to demonstrate every game that we are better than the last. There is a bit of fatigue that accumulates with this type of trip, so we must manage it. St. Louis is going to want to avenge the loss from our last meeting and they are fighting for the series.”

After this meeting, FC Montreal will return home to face Toronto FC II on August 12, to 12:30pm, on the synthetic pitch at Stade Saputo.
