The Academy supports the Néz pour vivre campaign

Nez rouge

The Montreal Impact Academy finished its campaign to support the Fondation Néz pour vivre, which supports young adults suffering from cancer. Each team from the Academy took part of the campaign, which was organized in two different ways.

The first goal was to sell red noses, for $2 each. To drive sales, a competition was established between the different teams. While a total of $854 was raised at the Academy, it’s the U13 team that was the most efficient, selling 82 noses for a total of $164.

The second competition occurred on social media. Each team, from U13 to FC Montreal, had to replicate a scene featuring the first team, while wearing the red nose. Photos were published on the Academy Facebook account and teams were encouraged to promote engagement on their photo with likes, shares and comments, getting people to talk about the cause of the foundation. FC Montreal’s photo generated the most engagement on social media.

In the educational framework of the Montreal Impact Academy, many projects are established to raise awareness with the players. The U16 Impact team took part in community activities at the end of 2015, and many Academy players and coaches annually take part in the Shaved Head Challenge.
