"We will likely see some players play a little more than last game, but we have to manage it well as we play again on Saturday," said Impact assistant coach Mauro Biello. "We want to continue to work on closing the play down to our opponents, as well as our rhythm, all principles in the type of game we want to play."

"We have some experience playing SKC and we play well against them," said captain Patrice Bernier. "It will be a good test for us to see how we can move the ball around and try to push the game forward, as they like to put high pressure on the ball."

"KC is a good team so even in preseason, it's going to be a tough game," said defender Maxim Tissot. "We made some mistakes against New York that we want to clean up in this game."

Sporting KC, the 2013 MLS Cup Champions, is undefeated in preseason play, including its two previous tournament games after wins versus New York (1-0) and Fluminense (3-0).

Sporting also has wins over FC Tucson and Indy Eleven, while playing the Portland Timbers to a draw, in friendlies in Arizona.

The final game of the preseason is set for Saturday, March 1 versus an opponent to be determined based on the final standings.
