The Impact organizes soccer clinics during the Holidays

During these clinics, young soccer players will be able to play soccer and learn in the company of their favourite Impact players, with on-site professional supervision and training with Impact team captain Mauro Biello.

"These clinics have become a holiday tradition over the years," said Mauro Biello. "They also give us the opportunity to work directly with kids, in a fun and stimulating environment. Many of the exercises and drills we perform are taken from Montreal Impact training sessions."

The clinics are offered to young soccer players aged 7 to 16 and consist of various work stations, each one focusing on a particular skill or technique. At the end of each session, a game simulation is held. Participants are grouped according to their age and level of play. The cost of participation for the four-day holiday clinic in Laval is $165 and $75 for the three-hour clinic in Lévis.

Once again this year, part of the profits will be given to the Vita Fund, which supports young children suffering from cancer.

Note that the Impact will kick off its 15th training camp in its history January 7, at Catalogna Soccerplexe, in Lachine, in preparation for a pre-season tour this winter in Italy, from January 19 to February 1, and Portugal, from February 17 to the 28. The Impact will play in 2008 a 30-game regular season and its home matches will be played at Saputo Stadium.
