MONTREAL – The 6th edition of the Centraide Cup, the only amateur soccer tournament to take place on the prestigious field of Stade Saputo, will be held this year on September 9 and 10. This inter-company soccer competition will raise funds for Centraide of Greater Montreal and the Montreal Impact Foundation to support disadvantaged families and youth.
Soccer fans can attend all tournament games for free, as the stadium will be open to the public for the entire weekend, while activities and games will be available for kids.
“In soccer, team spirit is essential to score goals. This sport is a reflection of our community; it becomes stronger through its diversity and the effort of people who work towards the same mission, giving back to help people in need so that we can change lives for life,” said Lili-Anna Pereša, President and Executive Director of Centraide of Greater Montreal.
“We are proud to partner with the Centraide Cup to help businesses play a concrete role in the community. Their generosity will enable our foundation to continue its terrific work and help underprivileged children and their families through innovative projects,” said Montreal Impact Foundation President Carmie Saputo.
Companies can register their teams right now at coupe.centraide.org. Participants can also raise money through an online canvassing tool.
